Education Agreement Signed with Roane County Emergency Squad
Roane County Emergency Squad (RCES) has contracted HealthNet Aeromedical Services to improve continuing education for its employees. Through this agreement, the Education Department at HealthNet Aeromedical Services will deliver educational services to RCES staff at their base and ensure they meet state recertification requirements.
“Through this partnership, we can improve the skillset and knowledge base of our crew members which will have a direct impact on the level of patient care we can provide for our citizens,” said Jody Ratliff, director of RCES.
Instruction will be provided by clinical educators holding master’s degrees in adult education with a combined total of over 70 years of providing EMS education.
“For 35 years our program has partnered with Roane County Emergency Squad for emergency response. We’re so honored to now have their confidence to provide high quality education to their crew members,” said Clinton Burley, president and CEO of HealthNet Aeromedical Services. “Sharing our access to a tremendous number of educational tools and highly trained educators with other agencies fits well with our core values.”
Roane County EMS employees will also have access to the HealthNet Aeromedical Services Training Center in Charleston which features a large classroom, four human simulation labs, and helicopter and ambulance simulators.
