HealthNet Aeromedical Services Announces New Five-Year Agreement with Raleigh County Memorial Airport

HealthNet Aeromedical Services is pleased to announce the signing of a new five-year agreement with Raleigh County Memorial Airport to continue basing a dedicated medical helicopter on the airfield. This partnership, which began in 2005, has been instrumental in providing critical care air medical services throughout southern West Virginia.

Under the new agreement, the Raleigh County Memorial Airport has launched a full renovation of the crew base facility. This facility is staffed around the clock by a dedicated team consisting of a pilot, a flight paramedic and a flight nurse, ensuring the highest standard of care and rapid response for medical emergencies.

Clinton Burley, president and CEO of HealthNet Aeromedical Services, expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed partnership and ongoing renovations.

"We are delighted to continue our long-time collaboration with Raleigh County Memorial Airport,” he said. “Our partnership is strong, and the renovation of the crew base facility marks a mutual commitment and investment to providing top-tier critical care air medical services to the region. Airport manager Tom Cochran, and his team of Bob Runion and Lora Clements are committed to growing the airport. That commitment is reflected in their business-like approach to sustaining this long-term relationship.”

Cochran shared his thoughts on the continued partnership. "For two decades, the presence of a HealthNet Aeromedical Services flight team and helicopter at our airport has proven to be a vital asset to the entire region,” he said. “We are excited about the renovations and the extension of our longstanding agreement that will undoubtedly continue to benefit the residents of Raleigh County and well beyond."

The medical helicopter based at the airport is an Airbus EC-145e, a state-of-the-art aircraft equipped to handle a wide range of medical emergencies. It is the largest and most capable medical helicopter serving southern West Virginia.
