HealthNet Aeromedical Services Renews In-Network Agreement with PEIA
HealthNet Aeromedical Services has renewed its in-network agreement with the West Virginia Public Employees Insurance Agency (PEIA). The provider network is managed by UMR, the state’s third-party administrator, on PEIA’s behalf.
“PEIA is pleased to continue our long-term relationship with HealthNet Aeromedical Services, Inc., providing vital air ambulance service to PEIA participants and the citizens of West Virginia in times of crisis,” said Ted Cheatham, director of PEIA. “HealthNet’s outstanding service and corporate responsibility make them a great partner for our agency.”
This contract is a renewal of a previous agreement that will protect the more than 230,000 PEIA participants.
“We believe it’s important that patients are not subjected to insurance complications and balance billing following an emergency air medical transport. Our decade-long relationship with PEIA assures that public employees and their dependents are well cared for and are not left with a financial burden,” said Brian Doughty, HealthNet Aeromedical Services CFO and vice president for business operations.
This agreement is yet another important step HealthNet Aeromedical Services has taken over the last 35 years to provide life-saving care to West Virginia’s citizens.
