Our flight nurses are at the forefront of delivering advanced critical care in dynamic and often challenging environments, combining clinical excellence with compassion on every mission. As integral members of our air medical team, they provide rapid assessment, life-saving interventions, and continuous patient management during transport, working seamlessly alongside flight paramedics and pilots. The Flight Nurse provides intensive care level life support services to critically ill and/or injured patients as part of an integrated air transport team.
Flight Nurses deliver critical care services under the stresses of flight, with frequent exposure to blood/body fluids, in sometimes hazardous conditions, near moving mechanical parts and within high noise environments. Training and resources are available to mitigate risk as appropriate, but the responsibility to utilize those devices falls to the individual.
Completion of an accredited certificate or associate’s degree in a registered nursing program.
Completion of an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in nursing, business or related field.
Three years or more experience as a registered nurse in the emergency and/or adult critical care environments.
Completion of an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in nursing, business or related field.
Our flight paramedics serve in a critical frontline role, delivering high-level care in rapidly evolving and high-pressure situations. Blending advanced clinical skill with quick decision-making, they confidently respond to complex patient needs on every call. As key members of our air medical crew, flight paramedics conduct thorough assessments, initiate advanced interventions, and manage patient care throughout transport, working in close coordination with flight nurses and pilots. This position calls for sharp clinical judgment, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure, along with a dedication to providing exceptional care when it matters most.
