Our Health Systems

HealthNet Aeromedical Services is a not‑for‑profit program jointly owned by West Virginia’s three major health systems: Marshall Health Network, Vandalia Health, and WVU Medicine.

This long-standing partnership of 40 years ensures communities across the Mountain State and beyond have equal access to a unified, highest‑quality air medical transport service.

Collaboratively, the health systems jointly invest in aircraft, crew, and advanced technology to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable critical‑care transport throughout Central Appalachia. This close alignment enables seamless transitions of care during both emergency scene responses and interfacility transfers and ensures patients receive the appropriate level of care as quickly and safely as possible.

Our board of directors includes top healthcare executives from each of our three owner health systems, with two leaders from each organization meeting quarterly to stay actively engaged in our program.

These partnerships have been the cornerstone of our mission since our inception. We are proud to serve alongside the region’s most respected healthcare organizations, working together to elevate care, reduce response times, and improve patient outcomes.

We appreciate their unified leadership, guidance and counsel to help drive our system forward.
